Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the platform collects, uses, and protects personal information. We are committed to handling data responsibly and in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), and we follow GDPR-ready practices.
What data we collect
We collect information schools provide to operate the platform: student records (names, class, admission details, attendance, results, fees), parent and guardian contact details, and staff account information. We also collect basic technical data needed to keep accounts secure, such as login activity.
Why we collect it
Data is collected solely to provide school-management services: enrolling students, recording attendance and results, managing fees, generating report cards, and enabling communication between schools and families. We do not sell personal data.
How long we retain it
Personal data is retained for as long as a school maintains an active account and as needed to provide the service. Schools may request deletion of records where applicable, subject to any legal retention obligations.
How schools control their data
Each school controls its own data within the platform. Role-based permissions determine which staff can view or edit information, and administrators manage access for their school. A school's data is isolated from other schools on the platform.
Children's privacy
Because the platform serves basic schools, it necessarily processes information about children on behalf of schools. This data is provided and controlled by the school acting in its official capacity. We apply the same protections to children's data as to all personal data, and access is strictly limited by role.
Data requests and deletion
Individuals may contact their school to access or correct their information. Schools may request data export or deletion where applicable by contacting [email protected]. We respond to legitimate requests in line with applicable law.
